I have been busy for almost a whole week redesigning YoungHarrisMotel.com

As an independent hotel, it is important to have a good image on the web. Well, Young Harris Motel I think has a very good website that is warm and inviting, which matches their management at business and overall company attitude. I have of course included my newest technology in their site with all the cool features. Web browsers of their site can now enjoy the JS image viewer on the front page, submit a comment on any element of their business to the management or send an email asking questions about rates or availability to the reservations department!

I am also very glad to be designing and hosting their site for the next year. They are another of my high traffic sites with almost 600 different people going to their site and an average of 30,000 hits each month!

Here lately has been very good for getting some new customers for web sites!

I would like to announce my 2 new Non-Profit customers: North Mt. Zion Church of God @ NorthMtZionCOG.org and Erwin Church of God @ ErwinCOG.com

I have been wanting to produce a very good site for my home church NMZCOG for years now, and finally was able to do this. I completed the site design and most of the content in September. It is a very unique site as it is very media-centric. All the images have the “light box” effect on them so when you click on each picture it will show it in full size. This is nice for service pictures and the church leader’s pictures.It also has streamable video (still working on the audio) that plays off the site on mobile devices like iPods and even cell phones and also everything is archived in iTunes via Podcast RSS Feed. I am very proud of the graphics on the site as I continue to update it with fresh pictures on most of the announcements seen on the front page JS viewer.

My next new site this month is Erwin COG. This site is 99% done as far as the layout and design, but it is just one of those times where the content from the customer hasn’t been given to even me. I can’t wait to see this site filled with all the great pictures and text to show off the good design. I give the credit for this site to Chris Jackson. He has quietly been helping me on most of my sites since January 2009, but this is the first site where he did almost all the work. He has done very good coming up with graphics and fixing code when I was busy on a lot of other things. He has also spent way too many nights up late working on this stuff when he had to be up at 6am the next morning! So, this site should be completed fully by Christmas.
